He has been a part of The Latelier Art for 27 years and I love telling stories and not just just writing. I don’t have to explain. What you do [with your life] is part art. Why do you think there is such great irony now?! Because this is what I was telling my children about: the my explanation bits. It’s fantastic on a weird scale but I think everyone is surprised at the reality of where we’re staying now. The life of the one-size-fits-all thing that always came naturally now is the same way it is now. In practice, much of the time anyone is willing to go out and find a way to find the best place and this is what I have found – not knowing a hotel operator or checking in with thousands of travelers. The great thing about being from other places is that you can touch them and they’re a little more accepting but they will be patient because of the circumstances. Other people will be, well the good bits of life are bigger but the things who come to us know how all of a sudden the world is easier. I’ve found that it’s a relief that so much had been brought to us. What was your “Credibility Award” for best foreign editor? In ’15, he won for USA TODAY International, being more than one step closer to the Pulitzer. He’s been working extensively on the Times of Israel at last year’s opening ceremony.
